I don't know too much about sounds cards; as in what to look for when buying one and knowing whether or not i have one.

I have 5.1 Creative Speakers and Realtek HD Audio Manager. I'm not too sure what sound card i have though, i can't see one in my computer and haven't found any signs of one through searching "My Computer" and using Everest Home Edition. Maybe i just have an on board sound card.

I want to buy some 5.1 headphones so would i need to buy a new sound card or just a sound card if i haven't got one?

Please reply!!! :-) Thanks
