not ACPI compliant?

Hi, I was told to go here for help from my friend

My mobo is a Gigabyte M57-s4 and I get the ACPI error on boot.

I don't understand what's wrong, because it all worked fine before. Only in the last few weeks has it acted up.

I've tried everything I can think of for this and can't solve a damn thing.


I already changed the serial/parallel ports and set the Parallel port to SPP..


I tried updating my bios via @bios that comes with the motherboard software

It's starting to drive me mad!

Check your memory with memtest 86.

I just had a computer at work do the same thing and it was a stick of ram that went bad after a year of use.

Replaced the ram and it works fine now.
