Splendid
I find the cheap or bundled ones actually increase the temp cuz after a while, dust gets stuck in between the heatspreaders. The worst offenders are those on OCZ ram with holes in them.

A better solution would be improving the case cooling or put a fan over the ram.

I use THESE , and they perform very well, especially with my ram overclocked to over 1200 MHz. Before adding these, my Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC2 8500 was too hot to touch. After adding these, I can touch the ram anytime I need to, without worrying about heat.

is it better to have thermal adesive tape on the ram whilst installing the heatspreader or not to have thermal adesive tape on the ram? Which would be better?
