There is arecovery partition on the laptop and also a desktop link option to create a recovery disk which you should have done already. There does not seem to be a limitation of how many recovery disks you do (I've done two sets already).

Unfortunately, you cannot use another users recovery disks unless, perhaps, the other user has the same model as yourself and the same OS.

To get a repair or recovery assistance from Toshiba, you need your Serial Number (located underneath on label).
