Hide icon into system tray

With "system tray", do you mean the general taskbar or the small system tray to the right?

the small system tray to the right, while the application or browser or anything that im working still open on the desktop
but the icon , i can hide it to system tray.

I only be able to do hide it only but the apps or browser will be hide as well, i want the browser or apps still on the desktop but the icon only hide into system tray on the bottom right near the CLOCK
