GTX 280 VANTAGE SCORE

Triple SLI overclocked and a processor overclocked to the moon means absolutely nothing.
How does 1 card do with an e8400 not overclocked.
Even Aandtech uses a an Quad Extreme at 3.2Ghz.
How about some decent benchmarks with a real processor that 90% us have or can even relate to.
Like start with a Q6600 and and give benchmarks at stock speeds, then overclock.
This crap of simply posting what new hardware runs like when overclocked it to the max, or have the money to spend for the best of everything to put behind it is unrealistic for most people.
THEN these tests and benchmarks would be interesting. I can only browse through them and say, oh yeah, okay. It's apparently better. How much better, who in the hell can really tell?

Good point, but it is still interesting to see the extreme side of anything and just dream!

I think Nvidia is going to have drop the price, but that might be hard considering they only get 105 chips per wafer where as nehalem they get 2500 (according to the anandtech article).

People who bought 9800GX2 or two 8800GTs are probably feeling a little better now.

OMG, simply pathetic. GX2 beats them almost anywhere and sometimes by a lot. 3870X2 is equal of slightly lower than 260

$650 for a 280 is just funny. But anyone, just grab one until they exist as I dont know if they wont be pulled out of the shelves in few weeks :D
