Hey there. Im currently on a mission to upgrade my PC significantly for a beter game experiance with the latest games. Going with those parts:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 CPU 2x XFX GeForce 8800GTX GFX cards in SLI (Had 1 of them from before and since the GTX's are cheaper then the newest ones 2x in SLI of those should work for a while) XFX nForce-790i Ultra SLI, DDR3 MB Corsair HX1000W Black PSU Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate 64-bit (Comes down to the memory ill end up with) And HDD to be decided
And I'v come to the point where Im stuck with what memory (DDR3) bricks to get brand, memory, speed etc. But when I get down to the memory I kinda want to try go fimd some decent ones that will work fine with the setup and will preform good for gaming, and in a resonaable price range. But I live in Norway so Im not sure how big of a price range in dollars i am looking for.
If you have any ideas please let me know.=)

Just check XFX site and choose any DDR3 compatible with your mobo.
In general, OCZ, Corsair and Patrior are good choices.
Because of the large cache of your cpu - 12mb- timings won't make a big difference for you. You can find 4Gb of DDR3 1333mhz for around US$200 in the US.
It's not quite what you've asked, but have you considered moving to an ATI system. If you sell you 8800GTX and take the money you would spend on the other card, you can get a pair of 4870s.
Combined with a great x48 mobo with DDR2, you get much more performance and save a good amount of money on video cards and memory.
Well one of my sort of problems was to find DDR3 compatible with my mobo. Well got to have a check on XFX site
And no I havent exactly even thought about moving to a ATI system, dunno maybe I will maybe i wont. First of all im gonne let a good mate of my play a bit with overclocking once i get the system i plan to get complete
