Hi All,

I have a three year old Compaqhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compaq Presario V2311US which according to the Compaq website takes, PC2700 DDR @ 333Mhz.

It came standard with 512MB and I just took it out and put in two 1GB chips which say they are 333Mhz. When I run CPU-Z the speed shows up as 166.

Is it just a coincidence that it displays EXACTLY half the speed I am looking for or is there a tweak I need to perform?

I already looked in my BIOS and cannot find a setting for the speed and it does recognize all 2048MB of RAM.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Dan

Ddr means double data rate. 166x2 = 333.
