still way too much because the 9800 gx2 is almost 200 $ cheaper and on average is just below that of the gtx 280...

Oh yeah, that is so cheap, I'm sure people will be running to pay $600 for it now. For around $300, you can get 2 g92 8800gts in sli to outperform that gtx280. :p

Wait before you buy. ATI is coming, and will squash those prices down even further

Why do you hope others will do it, so you can laugh at them when prices drop to $499 after the 4870 release?

Like Jaydeejohn said, wait and see what the red team has, then make the informed decision.

either way don't ever buy this gt200 architecture... wait for the gt200 refresh... its supposed to solve a lot of the problems with the current architecture...

the current gt200 was just rushed to market to beat ATI in some benchmarks... unfortunately it didn't even do that... all it did was make nvidia look like a dumba**... i'm waiting till the prices drop... and the refresh before I make any kind of decision regarding these cards

Reply to thogrom

lol they arent makeing any refresh cards..

Theyll do a 55nm or smaller node. And once their other options (gpgpu) have been tested and working, theyll adjust more towards gaming, on the refresh
