I put together my own system several months ago. I have not had a single problem with the system thus far, until very recently.

Nothing changed, no new installations, games, or other software.

I'm running.

XP SP2
nvidia 8800gts 512mb
E6750 processor
2gb pc 6400 ram, OCZ i believe.
gigabye ps31 mother board.

I have checked all my system temps, the processor, and gpu are at normal temps and have not overheated.

The problem is, the system "hangs" every 10 seconds or so. It only does it for 1/2 second, typing you don't even notice it. However, if I'm playing a game or watching a show, the shows audio will warble/stutter and my games cursors will jump 1-2 inches like it froze.

Any ideas what could be causing this sort of issue?
