Phenom II 710 crashes when OCd

So, I have an AMD Phenon II 710 (2.6), and my mobo is a JetWay HA06-GT.

If I try to OC my Phenom past anylevel besides it's stock 2.6, it will crash within minutes of booting the PC.


I've tried searching around but to no avail. Any advice?

wuts your specs? i had this problem with my msi k9a2 v2 my northbridge was limiting and my sb also..

AMD Phenom II x3 710

4gb ram (2x2gb) 800mhz




So after some tinkering, I found that if I underclocked my ram to 667, I could overclock my CPU up to the point where the ram would be back at it's normal 400mhz... but nothing more. 3.0ghz is the max CPU speed for some reason... anything past that and it will shutdown and restart on it's own.
