Hey!

I'm about to buy my new computer, and i have a slight problem

The Ultra 120 Extreme air cooling i choose, does not fit into the "Thermaltake Armor Plus MX Aluminum Silver"

If I want to use the cooling with that case, i have to remove the fan on the window
people tell me that if I do, it not going to be effective.

So basically my choices are -

1. Thermaltake Armor Plus MX Aluminum Silver - without the fan on the side window

2. CM 690

3. Antec 900

4. Antec P182


This is the computer I'm about to buy

What case should I take??

Go for the NZXT Tempest, it's similar to the 900 with same price but it already has all it's fans on it

Only for the Tempest
In fact, the computer is already built on the Antec 900
I can take it tomorrow, but I'm not sure what case should i take :(

Ive had both the CM-690 and the p182.

The CM-690 was a dream come true compared to the p182. Cant speak for the 900 though.

Well, from what i can tell, the C690 is right in the middle

Both Antec 900 & Antec P182 have a lot of advantages and disadvantages

The CM690 seems to be right in the middle, most balanced one

i don't think u can go wrong with any of those. those are actually 3 that i am considering myself along with the tempest.
if u want something low key, but very very quiet and ample fans, p182 is great. two of my friends have them, comps are whisper quiet with the extra thick walls. it's no slouch coolingwise either, with 3 standard 120mm fans, and an additional 2 optional 120mm.
something more flashy, and massive massive air flow, go for the tempest/900. both of those can really push air.
cm690 is the solid performer of the bunch. cheapest too. if you're not big on cases, and rather put the extra 20-50 bucks somewhere else, do it. has plenty of large 120mm fans to keep your parts frosty.

 

all personal preference, you're not going get royally screwed either way. they're all great cases

Basically what I've heard from people is - don't take the Antec 900
They say it like a vacuum cleaner, and makes noise like a ballistic missile

Someone suggested to take the Armor +MX with Zalman 9500, and give up the Ultra 120 Extreme

Is that a good choice?
