Just wanting opinions...

After reading at Anandtech that a 1000 watt psu would not power 2 gtx280 in sli...I said f that, wtf didn't Nvidia make this thing on 55nm in the first place ?

So how much upgrading of your power supplies is enough guys, I like ultimate performance too, but I leave my computer on a lot and I am not gonna buy a damn 1500 watt power supply just to play some games. GPU's have now passed the point of ludicrous power usage !

I'd rather give up the very top tier and in return not need the core of the "Forbidden Planet" just to power my crap !

They just said on Anand's review that 1000 watts and 80 amps on a singe rail would not power 2 gtx280's... so no, you can't just say it is enough all the time any more.

The same company that says I need at least a 550 watt ps even though I am using a 450 ?

I'd go with the end users as requirements are never disclosed really, and I'd go with the kill a watt meter !
