I recently got a samsung 305T and my 8800GTS 320 just doesn't get the job done. After seeing the results posted by the GTX 280 at 2560X1600 being tied with the GX2 I don't know what to get. One one hand the GTX will probably improve with drivers but the GX2 can be had for ~100-150 less. Also getting 2X8800GT (159 each) or 2X8800GTS 512 (~240 each ) is an option since I already have an SLI mobo.

System Spec:
Samsung 305T
Q6600 @ 3.6GHz
Striker II Formula 780i
6GB Corsair DDR2 800
8800GTS 320

Interestingly, it would both be the lowest costing and highest performing of the 3 setups. :p

Looks like one's gonna cost $160, and one's gonna cost $210.

Or, you could wait till the $200 EVGA 9800GTX's come back into stock. SLI them and smoke them all :)

Bah, get another brand for $177. They're the same anyways. :p

$200 for 9800gtx is far more attractive than at their old price. But it's still higher cost for the same performance. Both use identical g92 core running 128 stream processors, 9800gtx's g92 is clocked 25mhz higher at stock.

It can tri sli though, and 8800gts can only run dual.

lol didnt think about that. Yes, that would be a good buy. But also remember that the 9800GTX has tri-sli support, OpenGL 2.1, and 250Mhz faster mem speeds.
