Now, I'm no dummy, but I cannot find where to plug
the card into the power supply.
The cable has a normal Molex on one end, and a strange
(to me) very flat & thin female plug on the other end.

Nowhere on the card is a place to plug the female end onto.

Anyone have this card?

Uh huh.

Sounds like a molex connector.

Sounds like a SATA connector.

So don't plug it in then. :)

Aye, I have one that doesn't require an extra power connection.

Can it powered by the bus connection alone?

PCI Express slots can supply power, so yes.

Well, having once started my PC after unplugging the molex connector
from my graphics card, yes, you can run it on the bus alone.

At the worst case, as in my case, you won't get any video output, but it
won't catch on fire or anything.

Well, this one seems to run fine so far. It even ran through the
WinFast screen real quick at startup, stopping at the 256MB mark
just like it should. I was more than a bit surprised to see that, not
having a single drive in this bad boy yet.
I'll be happy to get the rest of the WinFast software installed, so
I can use the WinFox to monitor it.

I don't recall which card you have, but my 6800GT comes with a Molex
connector and a Y cable to get more power to the card. I'm only using one
feed from the power supply at the moment. This really is only needed when
you start using the 3D features of the GPU, as that's what draws the watts.

The slot connector provides power, but the pins are relatively tiny for the
amount of current needed to power the GPU at full utilization. That means
they act like resistors, and that causes the voltage at the card to dip.
That can cause the GPU to spaz out. It's kinda like when you have a laggy
carburator and, when you step on the gas, you kill the engine. The extra
power connectors give you a fat hunk of copper to feed extra juice into the
card under heavy load and avoid that dip.

Well then, this is a stumper. Mine is a (WinFast) PX6800 TDH with
"multi GPU technology". NewEgg threw a connector into the shipping
box with it and the 2 HDs, but it's a Molex at one end and a weird-looking
thing at the other.
But *nowhere* on the card is there another place for *any* connector.

I'm stumped.

Your card appears to be completely powered by the PCI-E slot, which is
possible.

Well then, I'm going to leave it the hell alone and see
