Hello,
I have an HP desk top with Vista. I tested and all it said was my volume driver was not working. How do I get another volume driver if Windows won't start up? Help Anyone

Volume driver - as in audio ? You tested what, how ? Can you startup in safe mode ?

No Windows won't even start to do safe mode. It just starts testing again and then wants me to report it. When I go into details it says the volume driver is corrupt or outdated. I tried to use the boot cd...same thing. I did a fix boot command and it was successful but did nothing.???
Any thoughts welcomed. :)

Before you tried to use the boot CD, did you go into setup (f2 key at startup) and make your cd drive 1st in the boot sequence ? I think you are still booting or trying to boot from the HDD.
