Ok guys i have a silght problem here, i have just had to send my graphics 8800gt back and my friend said that all 8800gt's are giving problems, now i am a student on a very tight budget, i live in spain and here are the components i'm looking at.
I have a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3 Socket 775 motherboard.

Club 3D Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 OC Edition PCI-e 151€
http://www.pccomponentes.com/CLUB_ [...] PCI_E.html

Asus GeForce EN9600GT/HTDI/512M PCI-e 114€
http://www.pccomponentes.com/ASUS_ [...] PCI_E.html

Club 3D GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB GDDR3 PCI-e 175€
http://www.pccomponentes.com/CLUB_ [...] PCI_E.html

Now the last one is a bit high but i could possibly lend a few euros of some friends then i would have enough, just wondering whats worth it more. I want a card that will last me a while also because my motherboard does not support pci-e 2.0. This computer is for gaming like cyrsis and bioshock.
Thanks in advance.

The 8800GTS 512mb is the best by far. Many of the 8800GT's problems are due to the ineficient single slot cooler, the GTS's dual slot one will help with that issue.

Depending on your budget you could also get a 8800 GS to tie you over and get a 9900 or 48** when they come out, even if they suck like the 9800 series did they should push other cards prices down.

Edit: by the way 2.0 is backwards compatible so don't sweat that.

8800 GTS is the best in that list. I would wait a month if you can and see how much the price drops when the x280 and 260s come out
