Ok just built my self a secondary PC for gaming specs are as follows:

Windows Vista Business X64
Asus P5n-E 650i motherboard
Intel Core Quad Q6600
4GB Corsair XMS RAM
Point Of View 8800GT Graphics
Hiper 530W Power Supply (also tried an Antec Earthwatt 500W psu with no effect)

Ok the problem is that after a random amount of time in a game it freezes the whole machine and i have to do a hard reboot to get going again, my temperatures all seem fine the GPu rarely pushes above 65 degrees and my cpu rarely over 55 under load.

I have tried 2 PSUS (listed above) to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated

Here is how I would troubleshoot this:

1) Find any logs that may be reporting where the failure lies
2) Check the game manufacturers site (forums) and see if anyone else is experiencing the same problems.
3) Remove any USB devices to give your PSU a boost for critical power needed for your video card.
4) Search for newer drivers
5) Swap RAM
6) Disable firewall or other crap running in task bar/services
7) Load Windows XP and try again. Rinse and Repeat.

Ok here goes, ive run memtest for 24hours and found no errors at all, also done the same for orthos(x2) for 12hours. 3Dmark also crashed, ive got all the latest drivers.

There are no usb devices plugged into my machine, im begginning to think this is a motherboard/gpu problem so im going to try swap GPU out on this today and see what happens.

Thank you for all your replys very much appreciated
