I have had many problems with my XFX 780i board, (works when it feels like it), I have now traced the problem to being a power issue, I have unbranded 600w psu which was not strong enough, my system will only boot with at least an 800w psu.

Could anyone tell me why this is as the problem persists even when only the minimum components are attached, these are a Q9450, 9600GSO, 250GB Seagate HDD.

Also could you recommend me a good PSU?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Michael
