I have a HP pavilion entertaiment PC dv4-1220us

i want to upgrade HDD but would like to get one with 7200rpm. but want to know if it will work with my HP.

Specs:
AMD turion x2 64
ATI radeon HD3200
4Gb ram
250 HDD SATA @5400rpm

Any 3.5" HDD with SATA 3Gbps interface will. i.e. almost all of the consumer HDDs on the market currently.

I think wuzy meant any 2.5" sata hdd will work, not 3.5".

yea it's 2.5" but will it be able to work on my system? remeber my laptop came with a 250gb hdd @5400rpm and i want to put in a 500gb hdd @7200rpm.
