Hi,

I've got Comcast Cable interent services, and two computers, and I need to share this connection between the two. Previously I had DSL, and shared the connection thru a simple Linksys Hub and it worked perfectly. I just switched to comcast yesterday, and the connection will net work on both comps at the same time with the current (ya know, cable just replaced the DSL connection).

If I restart one comp it works on that one, and not the other. When I restart that one it works and not on the other which it was previously working.

Will I need a legit router, or can I get by with this hub? the 80 bucks I had to pay for the cable modem kinda rules out a router for atleast a month ... so can I make this work?

You will need a router. A hub will not work in this instance.
