Just built a comp. 2 gigs ram vista 32, evga 780i, C2Q 9550, 2 8600gts. etc.

Put together installed fresh vista. First time through it worked. I went to nvidia.com and installed drivers for the graphics card and for the motherboard and some auto updates from windows installed

Restarted and now I get the windows loading screen and then just a black screen with my pointer visable.

Any ideas would really help me out. tia.

Yes it cud be your video drivers. But you have updated other stuff as well.Best way to find out 'exactly' which one is causing problem is to load up in safe mode, but then do restore to point prior doing all your updates. Then do installs 1 at a time ,reboot in between each, to determine which one is causing the prob.
