Thermal Paste?

Which do you suggest for a newbie pc builder, the noctua nt-h1 or the artic silver 5??

I've always used and had good success with Arctic Silver 5.

Overrated or not, AS5 has always served me well too.

Might I suggest another? OCZ Freeze. I've used AS-5 for a years and recently tried 'Freeze...quite pleased.

MX-2 works great. No cure time, should last 7 years after installation, that is if the HS is easy to clean. :lol:

I like it though. Works great on my Q6600 with ZeroTherm NV120.

halcyon, was a temperture difference between the artic silver 5 and the freeze?

1-2C...lower with the OCZ Freeze, but there's not curing time so the OCZ Freeze wins.
