Okay im running gtx280's in sli on my striker 2 formula.1200w psu, intel q9450 "2.66",8 gigs ddr2 dominator corsair ram. vista ult. 32bit everything is up to date on all drivers including phys.i checked all 3.3, 5, and 12 volts from the 24pin all read good numbers nothing below. on 3d mark vantage im geting a scores in the 14000's. last score for the gpu was 14833 note this is just the score for the gpu.one thing i did notice is that its saying i have 3 gig of vid memory so its pulling one dedicated off the mother board witch is not needed. could this be the reason for my lower gpu benchmarks???? should i be running ddr2 sli ram witch is only available in 1 gig sticks? i looked all through the bios didnt see anything where i could configure the extra ram from the board.

its running as we speak!!! on 4 gigs ill post bench mark in a min so far on 3dmar vantage i got 14888
13449
14409
btw 3benchmark vantage is still saying 3 gigs of vid mem even after i pulled 4 gig off the board. i figured since it had all the extra it was just giving up a gig but aparently it thinks it needs it.
nothing is oc as well!

you should consider oc'ing your proc with those gtx280's...TRUST me, itll pay off, if you dont kno how to, read the sticky's on the overclocking forum and learn... you have good parts, put them to use

32bit OS can't read even 4 gigs of memory, its more around 3.2 fyi... get a 64bit vista or xp for more, you shouldn't need more than 4 gigs though

hey guys i been told buy evga the reason for my performance loss and low scores is do to multi rail psu. my psu is the coolmax 1200 multi rail 4 i was told i need a psu with a single multi rail so that its not dividing up the power basicly!

although u are running a nice system but those cards do not require a 6pin and a 8pin at the same time like the gtx280 im curious if anyone else has or had the same problem with the same cards im running. i believe there was also the same problem with running the 9800gx2 as well. if anyone has a multi rail would they consider trying a single rail and see if it boost performance! i would try it myself but being that my other psu is only a 500 and i dont think my pc would be happy if i started it with that psu!
