I built my PC in August 2007.... it has a EVGA 8800 GTS 320 MB graphics card, should I upgrade?
Intel Core 2 Duo 6750
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P
Patriot Extreme 4-4-4-12 PC2-6400 - 4GB
WD 750 GB Hard Drive (WD7500AAKS)
EVGA 8800 GTS 320 MB
Corsair 620HX PSU
Sony NEC Optiarc 7170 SATA
Antec P180B Case
Windows Vista Ultimate - 32-bit
Westinghouse 22 inch LCD at 1650x1080
The EVGA cost me $270 early last August. I didnt have the LCD monitor when I bought the graphic card so I was playing on a 19 inch CRT until that broke.
I play Guild Wars, Civ 4, Company of Heroes, Medieval Total War 2, Orange Box, Sims 2, Bioshock and waiting in the wings: World in Conflict, C&C 3, Crysis, Stalker...
Should I upgrade my graphics card after less than a year? (I should have bought the 8800 GTS 640.)
I don't want to pay for the best available... I'm more of a " best bang for the buck" kind of guy.
Thats a nice card. But what do you know? The new ati hd4850 is more powerful than that card with only $199! Overall perfomance it even beats 9800gtx! The very best bang for ur bucks.
