Hey everyone. Been a while since I made a post on TH forums, good to be back. I've got a rig that's a couple years old. Socket 939, X2 4200, 2 gb good ram, and a 1900xtx. My vid card didn't come through the last phase of overclocking too healthy. Need to replace it with a new one. I know the rest of my system would be a major bottleneck for some of the cards out right now. What do you guys think would be my best choice for a GPU upgrade? $200 is about all I'm willing to budget for this aging system. Thanks in advance for any insight and/or opinions! Oh, and the mobo is a DFI Lanparty crossfire (think it might be RDX 200 or something along those lines). Been looking at that DDR4 512 ATi card...but as i said, not sure what the right choice would be for this particular set up. thanks and adios.

Actually, the card you may interested in is the new 4850. It's out on newegg as of today. They have an MSI version for 174 or so after rebate and it's rumored to be a very good card, on the level of say the nvidia 9800 gtx.

excellent looking card indeed fellas. 200 price range and performance that murders what my 1900xtx was doing healthy...thanks for the look ohio and terror. Trying not to get too pumped since my x2 4200 is probably gonna take some steam out of it but hey, cheap and efficient upgrade.

Don't run down that socket 939 too much. I was using a 4200X2 939 with 2 gig ram on a 6150 with a 7900GTX and getting to play Crysis on high quality at 1024 res with 24 fps. That went up to 30 fps with the 8800gt I put in. I have since went with 4 core q6600 at 3.0ghz on gigabyte x38.
