EDIT: Some reviews also came out today. It beats the 9800GTX in almost every benchmark, and it's way cheaper.... wait wtf? Single slot cooler? I guess that's the only downside.
Hmm, if that price goes down in a couple months....maybe....lol. Still don't want to shell out 200 for a gfx card. 150 or under preferably, but give it time.
MSI has a $25 rebate so $175, has anyone found any reviews where they test the overclocking abilities of this card? I cant imagine it being too much, but you never know

I just read that NVIDIA will fight back later this month by lowering the price of the 9800GTX to $200 and are going to introduce a $230 9800GTX+, which uses the 55nm G92b core, and has higher core and shader clocks. I think I'll just roll with the HD 4850 at the end of the month.

I am just curious is to what you have now that you paid under $150 for? I have never in my life paid less than $225 for a gfx card lol.

I'm new to ATI cards (I've had EVGA for as long as I can remember) and don't know what is a good brand for ATI cards? I know they are all the same reference design, but support and that type of thing who is known to be better?

That's a lot of performance for a great price. I have to wonder though about the Crysis numbers because they seemed very low especially in Crossfire. I wonder if it's a driver issue or if there is something else going on since there is an ad for Nvidia as the game starts. I can't wait to see the performance of the 4870 I think two of those might be my next card(s).

Sapphire is usually the cheapest and just as quality. HIS tends to later come out with special cooling solutions, and Sapphire does that too later on. Go with whatever has the best warranty and price combination(5 years is good for warranty honestly, the odds are pretty good you won't be using it that long).
Avoid Diamond.
If I get one of these, it would probably be Sapphire, HIS, or Asus; likely will depend on the cooling.

At this point they are all identical. I don't know if the warranties vary, but I'd just go with the cheapest or the one with the best cooler "art". My 2900 is a Sapphire and was great and I bought the MSI 4850 last night. It doesn't really matter to me.

Wow, this has the upgrade itch flaring. My 500W Enermax can handle this card... Maybe when it gets a 2-slot cooler...

I want the 4850's to drop the price of the 3870's (I want to crossfire my current rig). Patience is a virtue and it is a virtue that I possess. All hail the price wars!
