Hi,
I have a Cooler Master V8 cooling my I7. The V8 has a manual switch connected to the back of the casing - is there any utility or BIOS setting that allows me to set the V8 (and all the other fans) to speed up when the temp increases so that I don't have to crawl under my desk to make the changes..?
Thanks

Goodness yes. Most if not all modern Mobos have fan control if you connect the CPU fan to the Mobo. Look into your bios.

The rest of the fans? Gotta be careful putting lots of fans on the Mobo. My old Abit has 4 fan connections and temp control for each one, but amps are a consideration. Temp fan contollers are pretty cheap, but need to stick with a decent brand.

Either control the fans within the BIOS as conumdrum suggested or you can try speedfan. It's free and will control fans as long as the BIOS fan control is turned off. You'll have to set it up to run on startup after you setup a fan profile.
