Hye,

I've got a laptop and an external hd (lacie neil poulton 750 gigs) which i've been using for several months
until suddenly my hd wasn 't recognized anymore, i tried it on a couple of other pc's but it doesn't show up in my computer.

the external hd is displayed in disk management as a non initialized hd

the problems happened after some win vista updates while the external hd was on

any help would be much appreciated

Have you tried mounting the drive in Drive Management? Before you do so however, how important is the data on your disk? Can you afford to lose it?

Yeah I thought about doing that but the data I've got on there is pretty important so I'd rather not lose it until it is absolutely necessary...
