How do you find scandisk in WinXP?

I don't remember how to run scandisk/checkdisk. Where is it?

To use Scandisk, right click on the drive that you want to scan and click Properties.
Select the "Tools" tab and under "Error Checking" select "Check Now".

checkdisk can be used through command prompt.

Syntax:
chkdsk x: /F
where /F is to fix errors for the drive "x"

If you just want to run a chkdsk on your C drive, go to start-->run-->type chkdsk /r and press enter-->it will schedule a chkdsk for the next time you restart, and try to fix any errors it finds.
