i have an asus a7pro and i cant even get the board to boot properly since the bios freezes right after the ram detection right at the bios extention screen. sometimes i can get it to the point where it will boot a divice like a cd rom or floppy or hd but doesnt and sit there and wont advance. i go into the bios and it tells me the bios has hung cause of an external cpu frequencie or speed error and the bios is running in safe mode. what can i do about this problem? i tried 2 different processors and still the same problem.

That's a very old motherboard - perhaps the MB has failed?

i had a different one that was like it and it ran fine but i am trying to find a good board to work with my amd athlon xp 2200+ and its not the ram or processor either thats the problem
