My D-Link DI-524 is on its last legs so I bought a D-Link DIR-628. So far, a nice piece of work but I prefer the old web interface. Anyway, can a 802.11a/b/g built in NIC be upgraded to "n"?. My laptop has a Broadcom wireless built in and I'd like to take advantage of the speed the DIR-628 offers. Or am I stuck with needing to buy a PCMIA card?

BTW - I couldn't find an answer to this via a search. Maybe I was too impatient to look thru 300 messages.

I believe that you need a new card, external or one that goes into the slots. I don't know if N is backwards compatible to a/b/g
