Hi.Im trying to decide what card to buy but something dosen't seem right...After cheking the charts i see that the 8800gt's (oc) score is higher then that of the 8800GTX (about 120$ more expensive) ..Is this right? In that case i would definetly go with the GT but what about the price difference?

It is right...

But the GTX is not OC'd

OC both cards and the GT wont hold a candle to GTX

If u play @ 1920x1200 or higher, then i recommend u getting the 8800GTX due to its 384bit and 768MB of memory

but for a 19" monitor which has 1280x1024 resolution, i definitely recommend 8800GT 512

There is a crime against having multiple posts in a thread?
What difference does it make to you?

I have the EGO? Why am I being told to not post multiple times… CONTROL MUCH?

I will certainly post as many as I like, unless told otherwise by a moderator.

Everybody chill.

Grieve , editing doesn't mean anything with regards to errors, and considering the time frame there wouldn't have been a reply between your edits and the next comment. But at the same time I don't see it as a big deal as you were trying to add info. Maybe adding the question onto the third one would've been a better call, but whatever, I don't see the need for everyone to go code red on this.

Anywhoo, consideration on all sides on this one, it's not a big deal, I would prefer 1 or 2 posts, but Grieve was pretty much adding info with each post, so it's not like he's just posting for the sake of spamming.

Just everyone try to be better people, and luv one another.... yada... yada.. :hello:

Get a 9800GTX at newegg. They are $200, and outperform the 8800GTX in nearly every benchmark, and, of course, are a lot cheaper.

No, 9800GTX doesnt outperform a 8800GTX in every benchmark
8800GTX win in high resolutions and when u use AA and AF due to its 384bit and 768MB of memory

However 9800GTX performs very good too and has a good price but as i said in some areas it loses to a 8800GTX
