I cannot open any files on Windows XP

Hello,I tried to upgrade my XP by adding service pack 2 but it told me that I did not have a genuine XP and that I had to download a genuine file After trying this, I found that I could not open any files on my desktop, and any files that I have downloaded to try and get rid of this problem I am unable to get to. Please help.

You will have to get support from the computer vendor to get the genuine porduct key for your copy of XP. Or contact microsoft to resolve the problem; if your XP is not genuine, you will likely have to pay MS for a license and key.
