Hey all,

I recently discovered this problem with my keyboard. From the time my motherboard's start screen comes up, my keyboard takes one to two minutes to light up. My start up halts until that happens. Furthermore, once the Vista login screen comes up, my keyboard takes about the same amount of time to start functioning. I've tried this with both my standard USB keyboard and a PS/2 keyboard, but the problem occurs with both of them. I just updated my BIOS today as well, and that did nothing.

I'm running a Gigabyte X48-DQ6 Motherboard with an Intel Quad 9450 CPU and 8 GB of Mushkin XP2-8500 RAM. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

After bios update, has cmos been cleared and bios defaults loaded?

Are USB keyboard, mouse & legacy enable in bios?

I think that is normal.
