I know that there have been reports of blown MOSFET's on 3-phase boards with 125W CPU's; however, what causes them to blow. Do they get too hot and just burn out?

I have a 9850BE on a 3 phase board with no heatsinks on the MOSFET's; however, I have mounted an 80mm fan that blows right on the voltage regulators and MOSFET's...is this adequate or do the MOSFET's actually blow and not just overheat?

They overheat.....don't overclock anything on that board......you should be fine and the little fan on it will help
