Hi everyone. Got two simple question about RAID, I searched a bit but didnt find any conclusive answer, most likely cause this is in the borderline of obvious o/
I'm planning on setting up a RAID 0 prior to OS install and here are my questions
What are the RAID controllers? I'm assuming the mobo has them built in and I'll only have to connect them to the SATA entries right? For each drive their sata. Would I require to set one of the drives to master/slave or both to master?
Are the RAID drivers loadable by usb? I mean I didnt even plan to buy a floopy drive till I started reading about this. Or anyway to slipstream the drivers into a win7 install?
Should I check with the mobo manual for RAID support or this is pretty standard? I took a look around on their site and didnt find anything about it but I can still go and check the manual. Also I've read about the Ctrl+H to access the RAID Bios, is this a standard as well?
Thank you for your time

SATA has no jumpers for master/slave as you can only put one drive per cable.
As for the raid drivers, it depends on the OS your loading. XP will need the drivers. Vista can see alot of them just fine. Windows 7 I would assume would be even better.
As for setting up the raid you will need to do this through the raid config screen. The key combo to do this should show up during boot. It may be different depending on what board you have.

Ok,ty for the info.
I asked about the RAID bios because I never really noticed any tip on how to during boot up but I probably have some sort of quick boot going on.
I'll hope win 7 has made things a little easier, that sticky there could get an update xD
