Can anyone tell me if there is a way to find out what version of PCI-E x16 a mobo is running (i.e. 1.0, 1.0a, 1.1, etc.) I have an HP computer with an Asus P5BW-LA mobo and neither Asus nor HP can tell me anything other than the slot being PCI-E x16. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ok, I couldn't drop it. This is a quote from one of the technical documents on the P965: "The PCI Express port is compliant to the PCI Express* Base Specification revision 1.1." tada.

Thanks to both of you for your replies on this.

MCG, Thank you for the heads up on the Intel link and for checking out the specs for me. I've got to replace a video card on a PCI-E x16 slot and learned that the PCI-E 1.0a has some issues with PCI-E 2.0. I'd rather check out everything before buying a card versus trouble-shooting later.

Thanks again for the help.
