I am currently using a Dell XPS M1530 with Vista Business. I recently set up my Turtle Beach AK-R8. For those who aren't familiar, it consists of the HPA2 headset combined with the inline USB sound card, SRM along with support and drivers for it. I must say that the sound quality and customizability is absolutely incredible and I have never heard a better sounding set of cans!
One problem. When I'm using Ventrilo, people on the other end report that I occasionally broadcast "static" and "multiples" of me through the microphone on the headset. It sounds great otherwise according to them, but if anyone could help me solve this, it would be great. I am positive that it is the SRM causing the problem; I tested the SRM with another headset and got the same issue, while using the microphone built into my laptop I have no problems(asides from poor quality; it's running on the on-board sound)

Turtle Beach told me that this matters but so far ive yet to find any real impact:
I have 3 USB ports on it; One is being used by the SRM, the other by the charger/receiver for my Logitech G7, the other empty.
I have those things muted. But, I'm pretty sure that that isn't the problem. I only encounter the problem with Ventrilo(no other programs yet, and when i unmute the playback in the sound options so i can hear myself, it's crystal clear. not when I "test" it in Vent though.) when the Microphone through the SRM is enabled, not when the laptop mic is selected(but it's poorer quality)
