Hi,
I am building a new system with Q6600 and x48 MOBO. Now I am looking at Memory and wondering which ones to pick?

Everyone recommended DDR2 ..
Brand?
Speed?
Cas Latency?
Voltage?

Any benefits with going with higher voltage or CAS Lat?

Thanks for clarification

1. Crucial, Corsair, Patriot, OCZ (of the brands I've used personally)

2. DDR2-800 can, more often than not, be overclocked to DDR2-900 speeds without too much trouble so faster DDR2 has no real advantages.

3. 4-4-4-12 is pretty standard for DIMMs no greater than 1GB each, anything over that you're looking at 5-5-5-18 (either way...the speed difference is negligible)

4. Voltage, lower is better (less heat). 1.9 is probably best, over 2.1 is too much.

Look at the QVL for the motherboard you want to purchase.
