Gadget Gift Ideas For Everyone
Hey everyone, first time user here. I am looking to upgrade my PC soon and would like some advice. So I currently am running an AMD FX-57 with 2 Gig RAM, and dual SLI 8800 GT OC on a A8N32SLI-Deluxe Mobo I was to finally make the move to Dual Core and am looking into the Q6600 for is OC'ing ability... I don't want to go extreme but maybe around 3GHz Since I have the Graphics cards already does anyone have a suggestion on a Mobo with Nvidia SLI that is good for the Q6600... I am looking to spend around $400 total.... CPU i can get for around $150... let me know what you guys think!! THANKS
Make sure you stay away from any TR revision of EVGA 680i SLI's as they can't run the 45nm quads and they cannot OC any quad CPU worth a darn.
i would recommend either a 750i or a 780i board. i don't think you need the performance of a 790i.
750i is more stable, so take that one, also its way less expensive.

I'd just forget overclocking, it's pointless with these CPUs and games. Only if you play FSX, otherwise they won't be used at 100% even at stock.
