]I didnt think this card was this good after reading alot of reveiws on it. But for myself it beats my previous setup (9800GTX SLI) by a small margin in Vantage benchmark. Games run smoother with this single card than my previous setup it seems. Now only taking up one slot from taking 2 using 9800GTX SLI.
Games run smoother ..i mean what are these people on some kind of Drugs
what hes talking about his micro stuttering... its not funny its a fact... games can micro stutter in sli setups when you are in the lower fps... single card solutions do not micro stutter therefore its smoother...
Dude Magicandy get an education ...if you have a pair of 9800's you are telling me that its a bright idea to go buy a 280gtx , if so , you are the biggest retard i've ever come across on these forums.
Keep reading you got your own ass owned , plus forget the microstutter crap and come down to the Dollar and Cents ...NO value in my eyes.
if all you care about is value then you are referring to the wrong article
People don't buy cards like the gtx280 for price/performance, they buy them for the best experience money can buy. Just because you don't feel its worth it doesn't mean it isn't.
Its like buying a 50" TV? Is there ANY value in a purchase like that? Absolutely not, but not everything is about value to everyone.
Microstutter is very annoying, the gtx280 is significantly better than 9800 GTX because it doesn't get bogged down with the minimum FPS issues that SLI/Crossfire combinations do, which means a much richer and more immersive gameplay. Nvidia doesn't market their gtx200s the way they do for any reason other than this.
Likewise, ATI will market the 4870x2 the exact same way: its a card designed for people who want the best possible experience they can get out of their hardware while gaming.
I don't even know why people like you post on a hardware enthusiast forum - if ALL that you care about is value per dollar than this is the wrong place for you.

I sense a minor disturbance in the Force, like a million voices laughed at the OP at once and were suddenly silenced when they realised he was being serious...
