Normal Temps for Hot Environments?

Would I be right in saying that most normal CPU temps are under temperate weather conditions? What if the rig has to operate in tropical (usually hot and humid) weather, not in an airconditioned room? The CPU temps have the remain the same regardless right?

Solution
Yes. Your maximum allowable temperatures will be unaffected by ambient temps. Lower ambient temps simply give you a little more headroom. For example, if you want to hold CPU temps to 70 C., and the computer is in an air conditioned room, you have maybe 40 C. to play with. As your ambient air temp increases, your margin shrinks.

Of course, you can increase your margin by using a better air cooler or or using liquid or TEC cooling - or even something more exotic.

Thanks :) I'd say that hard disk and pci slot coolers are pretty unnecessary in just about any situation, though a pci slot cooler can sometimes be good for keeping a gpu cool.
