:p My friend has a 10 year old AMD Duron tower that doesn't always start up when the button is pushed. She pulled the wires to the switch and now can't recall how they go back in. Can anyone please tell me how the wires go in correctly so she can start the tower up agaIN.
 
completely depends on the motherboard. best way is to look up the model number, find the product manual online, and then wire it up.

last resort...short every two pins you can with a screwdriver, but only two at a time. find the two that turn the pc on. no guarantees on motherboard saftey, here.
 


Dunno bout that. I've got several sitting here from circa 95- 98 that have it clearly printed on the board. Perhaps some cheaper ones from brand name PCs may have lacked it? I can believe that.
