Hey,

I trying to figure out if i buy a SLI Ready Graphics Card do i need a SLI Ready Motherboard?

I was also wondering the same about the Memory(RAM).

If my Memory is SLI Ready do my Motherboard need to be SLI Ready?

You need SLI board to run 2 or 3 cards in SLI, You don't need SLI board for single card. You don't need SLI memory. If memory is SLI ready, board or cards does not have to be SLI.

So your saying that if i buy a SLI Ready Graphics Card i don't need a SLI Ready Motherboard? And everything will still work perfectly?

YES. You only need SLI motherboard if You want to run 2 or 3 cards in SLI mode. For single video card You can use any motherboard.

Thanks i think i understand what your saying now but what if i got SLI Ready Graphics Card and SLI Ready Memory(4 x 2048 DDR2 Dual Channel) would i then need a SLI Ready Motherboard?

WARNING: Some RAMs have SLI or CrossFire logo on them. Many people ask if they are the only RAMs which support SLI or Crossfire.
Well thats wrong,there are many RAMs which dont have SLI or CrossFire logo but you can use SLI or CrossFire with them without any problem.

to get really basic, SLI means more than 1 card. are you getting more than 1? if so, you will need an SLI motherboard, if you are just getting the one card, you can get any motherboard, that matches your CPU socket that is.
