Hi I recently switched out the mobo, case and power supply in my computer. We thought it was working fine at first but then we noticed it always take two tries to boot up. We are running Windows xp, we have an ECS KN1 Lite mobo a thermaltake 430 watt psu. the hard drive is the same as was in the old comp. Everything seems to work fine while it is on except we can't seem to get the front usb ports to work but that is a different issue and minor compared to our current problem. It will restart just fine but once it is shut down when we press the power button to turn it on the fan and hard drive spin up for a few moments then they shut back down. We press the button a second time and it boots up fine with no issues at all. I've also noticed that it won't come out of standby. Right now we have it set to never enter any kind of standby because of this. We are using different dvd drives then we had been using because the original ones would not allow the front door of the case to close. The vid card is a nvidia gforce 8600 GT. Also sometimes fter we have been changing settings or hardware trying to solve the problem it stops botting completely until we remove everything and put it back in. Any help would be great thanks in advance.
