cant you get a western digital, i hate recommending anything else

Or you could get a good external enclosure and a really nice quality hard-drive to put in it, like a Western Digital Black with a 5-year warranty. That way you can choose virtually any size you want.

Yup! But WD is too costly starts from 4000 INR.But I have budget of 4500 INR and I was thinking if I could get 500 GB harddrive in this budget.I have heard about Transcend and Seagate other then WD but not about other two.If I could get a brand similar to quality of WD then I will look for 500 GB harddrive otherwise WD.THANKS!

But won't it be inconvenient to carry.Harddrive + USB extension + Cable.Also there are chances that it might get damaged during handling.If you could tell me a external harddrive which I could use as internal (for PC or Laptop under my budget) also then it would be very helpful.THANKS!

I bought a 250GB Maxtor external HDD package a year ago and is working very well until now. I highly recommend it.
