Hi all,
I was just looking to buy a 4850 to replace my 7900gt ko. However I ran across a good deal and managed to afford a 4870 which I will pick up tonight! I understand the PSU requirement is a 500watt psu, however I am hoping to run it on my old 480watt psu. I will post the specs of my comp and am wondering if you guys think I should be alright.

CPU: Core 2 Duo E6600
RAM: 2gb Corsair XMS PC2 6400
GPU: Ati 4870
Mobo: Asus P5B
PSU: Antec True Power 2.0 480watt

Due to the low power consumption of the E6600 and given its only 20 extra watts I think it should be alright! Let me know what you think, thanks!

My brother and I have 4850s. I have an antec earth works 500w power supply. Ive crossfired the 4850s with this power supply with no problem although I suspect this puts alot of stress on the PSU.
