noramally i slam THG builds and this is not expception - its getting better.

first the qx9650? a q9550 yeilds 3.8-4ghz no problems save $450. then again if THG picked a q9550 i would write why no qx9650 - so THG rocks and can not win.

the fact is the cpu is overkill unless the budget is bigger - there is only one gpu so a cheaper cpu would have worked!

second the qx2 - while i like the card its not my first choice - triple sli is or quad crossfire with 2 x2's

cooling: a single dual 120? omg! i use dual loop on many $4000 systems but then again i build koolance systems with single loops.

better choice would be dual loop and more radiators! if thg had used a dual loop i would have said why dual loop you should have got 2 video cards and air cooled it! again THG can not win!

850w psu in a $4000 pc with an sli mobo is a sin - it will not power 2 cards - ok guys you should have used the 1000 or bigger - this time you just messed up!

no raptors? sin! dual raptors with storage is a min!

ok guys ---- what is this stuff? 1333mhz ram -- you are kidding 1600-2000 is need to get the befints of ddr3 or you have just used ddr2

Conclusiion:

use the q9550 and upgrade the ram to 1600mhz and upgrade the psu or use a stiker forumla and ddr2 and use 2 video cards with a bigger psu

Almost $4k for that? :na:

You can get a Skulltrial based octo core dual quad and a choice of either crossfire or sli (Skulltrial supports both) for half that cost.

i think they used one 120mm and 2x120mm radiator so 2 radiator in total. but i was expecting triple 120mm at the top and dual 120mm radiator at the back if Tom used the Cosmo S.
