I've lost access to my slave HDD after a defrag (win 2000, pentium II, 400Mhz). When I try to access it. I get the following message : disk in drive D is not formatted, format now YES/NO. My D drive already has some known bad sectors on it. How can I regain access to it so that I can recover the data on it.
I 'VE TRIED TO DIFFERENT RECOVERY UTILITIES BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO FIND ANYTHING. MY D: DRIVE NAME WAS Maxtor_20Gig, NOW IT WRITTEN D: (local drive). IS THERE A ULTILITY/SOFTWARE THAT COULD HELP RECOGNIZE IT. 
HELP !!!
